Ride Along during a patrol shift with HPD for two (2) people. "Ride-Along" means to be an official passenger in a patrol vehicle, accompanying a police officer during part of normal tour of duty. The primary purpose is to provide an opportunity for the community to see firsthand the day-to-day working of law enforcement in Hawthorne. The Ride-Along guest receives important insight into what it means to be a police offer and fosters a better understanding of challenges, hazards and rewards of their role in the community.

Ride Along during a 4 hour patrol shift with MBPD for one (1) person. "Ride-Along" means to be an official passenger in a patrol vehicle, accompanying a police officer during part of normal tour of duty. The primary purpose is to provide an opportunity for the community to see firsthand the day-to-day working of law enforcement in Manhattan Beach. The Ride-Along guest receives important insight into what it means to be a police offer and fosters a better understanding of challenges, hazards and rewards of their role in the community.

Ride along participant cannot have a criminal record. Ride along must be scheduled a minimum of 7 days in advance.
