Stanley Furniture Walnut and Oak Dresser from Midcentury Mobler

Kala's neighbor Midcentury Mobler houses an amazing selection of mid-century pieces with timeless style and quality.

This dresser was manufactured in the early 1960s by Stanley Furniture. It has a unique history, coming from an apartment complex in Berkeley where the owner rented out furnished units to UC Berkeley students from 1963 to 1985. In 1985, when furnished apartments were no longer in demand, the owners stored all the furniture in the building's basement.

Midcentury Mobler discovered it there last year in 2025, so it had been stored for 40 years! The piece is crafted in walnut and oak and remains in its original condition.
