After School Art
Any AmountFund a semester of Kala's After School Studio program for a young artist in financial need
Help increase access to Kala's youth art programs by supporting a young artist to participate in the spring or fall semester of after school studio art at Kala. (the cost is just over $1000 a semester). Sessions meet Tues and Thurs afternoons for 1-5th graders.
Kala's youth art programs work to nurture the next generation of makers and creative problem solvers, critical skills for these challenging times.
The more money we raise for tuition assistance, the more we can say yes to all families and artists who need financial support.

Camp Kala
Any AmountFund a week of Camp Kala for a young artist in financial need
Help increase access to Kala's youth art programs by supporting a young artist for a week-long session at Camp Kala, Kala's summer art program. Each week costs $475 per camper. The more money we raise for tuition assistance, the more we can say yes to all families and young artists who need financial support. Donations at any level are appreciated!

Upgrade Kala's Digital Lab
Any AmountSupport Kala's Artist-in-Residence program by upgrading equipment in the digital lab!
Kala's Artist-in-Residence have 24/7 access to Kala's studio and equipment including the sculpture lab, print shop, black and white darkroom and digital lab. These essential factors provide space, time and resources for incubation of ideas and the creation of new projects. Auction proceeds will help support equipment upgrades, purchases and repair.
Some of Kala's large format digital printers have reached the end of their lifespan and we need your help. Both the beloved 4800 film-printer and the 44"-wide Eduardo need to be replaced-in the interim, this leaves Imogene and Graciela to do the heavy lifting. We also plan to purchase two, new computer stations to keep up with all the latest in digital media.

Teen Programs

Help increase access to Kala's youth arts programs by supporting a young artist in participating in teen opportunities (teen studio workshops, Camp Kala for 6-12 grades, and Kala internships).

Exhibitions/Curatorial Fellow
Any AmountSupport Kala's Gallery and Curatorial Fellowship!
Kala's exhibitions and gallery related public programs are free to the public, Tuesday - Friday, 12-5pm and Saturdays, 12-4pm, celebrating work across media and across generations, created both in the Kala studios and beyond.
Your support will help us pilot a curatorial fellowship program and provide more artist stipends, artist catalogs, performances, screenings, artist talks, demos, etc.

Kala Fellowships
Any AmountSupport Kala's Fellowship Program
Kala's Fellowship program hosts 6-10 artists each year and provides 24/7 access to Kala's studio and equipment including the print shop, digital lab, black and white darkroom, documentation room, new sculpture lab, and project spaces. In addition, Fellows receive at $3,000 stipend, enrollment in a Kala class or workshop, one month housing across the street at Kala's Higby apartments for artists outside of the Bay Area, and a culminating exhibition as a cohort in the Kala gallery.
Through these studio and gallery opportunities, Kala provides space, time and resources for incubation of ideas and creation of new projects.
This year, for the second consecutive year, we did not receive funding from the National Endowment for the Arts to fund Kala fellows. Your donation helps bridge that gap, supporting a new group of Kala Fellows.
