Coosaw Island 3-nt, 4BR Stay
$19003-night stay on a private peninsula called Coosaw Island along Lucy Creek near historic Beaufort.
This waterfront home has four bedrooms, four baths, and can easily accommodate 11 guests. With a bright, open floorplan and a sunroom that spans the entire length of the water side of the house, guests can enjoy stunning views of the creek. The home's outdoor space is simply unparalleled and features an expansive covered deck with furniture, a floating dock - ideal for fishing or sunbathing - a fire pit, gas grill and gazebo. Guests can launch their boats at Sam's Point Boat Landing, which is just down the road, and bring them to the dock during your stay.
The kitchen, living room, and sunroom are located on the second level of the home. The cooks in your party are sure to enjoy the kitchen with its granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and gas range with electric oven. The table in the dining area can comfortably seat eight. Should you choose to dine outdoors, the covered deck has a table that seats six, as well as a gas grill and flat top. After dinner, your group can take in a movie on the wall-mounted, flat screen TV above the gas fireplace in the living room, with seating for five with room to add chairs. The living room flows directly into the sunroom, with its expansive wall of windows that look out onto spectacular views of Lucy Creek.
At the end of a busy day exploring, guests can retire for the evening in one of four bedrooms. There is a king-sized master bedroom with a flat-screen TV, a set of bay windows with lovely river views and an ensuite bathroom with jetted tub and separate shower on the second floor. There is a queen-sized bedroom on this level, along with a full bath across the hall. The third floor has a bedroom with two beds; a full and a king (ideal for the kids in your group) and a full bathroom with shower. The ground floor features a daybed and a full bed, along with a bathroom with shower. There is also a washer and dryer in the home on the main floor.

Private Flight Lesson
$250A Discovery Flight with Eagle Aviation is designed to help you understand what flying is about and all that is involved. The Discovery Flight will actually be your very first loggable flight lesson and possibly the beginning of a lifelong passion. This lesson is approximately 1 hour long and shall consist of 30 minutes in a Cessna 172SP and 30 minutes of pre-flight and post-flight briefing with your instructor.
The FAA certified flight instructor that you will be flying with will first review with you what will be taking place during the lesson and specific procedures that must be followed during the lesson. The instructor will also want to get to know you and what your goals are in aviation.
Now the fun part comes, FLYING! In the airplane you will start, taxi, take off, and help land it. You will be guided through several basic maneuvers. After landing the instructor will review with you what you have accomplished during the flight and is willing to answer any questions or comments you may have. Your success is our goal!

You will see Bald Cypress, Tupelo, Pine and Willow Oak trees along this slow-moving creek. Some of the trees in Congaree National Park are record holders! The park is also teeming with wildlife from wild boar, otter, deer, various birds and yes, creepy crawlies!
All guided kayaking trips focus on the history in and around the area. They point out wildlife and features of the area. All trips include kayaks, paddles and life jackets.

Eastern Bluebirds begin looking for nesting sites in South Carolina in early February. Bluebirds prefer an open area, as they like to sit on the top of the box and look in all directions. Boxes should face the morning sun, and be at least 300 ft apart. Bluebirds will nest 2-3 times during a season, so be sure to clean out the nesting material after fledglings have left the nest. A single screw can be removed from these boxes for easy cleaning.
It is very important to take measures to keep predators away from the nest. Boxes should be mounted on a metal pole so that the entrance hole is 5 ft from the ground.

Handmade Nesting Box for Eastern Bluebird with sized restrictor plate

Eastern Bluebirds begin looking for nesting sites in South Carolina in early February. Bluebirds prefer an open area, as they like to sit on the top of the box and look in all directions. Boxes should face the morning sun, and be at least 300 ft apart. Bluebirds will nest 2-3 times during a season, so be sure to clean out the nesting material after fledglings have left the nest. A single screw can be removed from these boxes for easy cleaning.
It is very important to take measures to keep predators away from the nest. Boxes should be mounted on a metal pole so that the entrance hole is 5 ft from the ground.

Wood Duck Nesting Box
$60Female Wood ducks typically build their nests in tree cavities near wetlands. When a prospective cavity is found, a hen wood duck will land in the tree and carefully inspect the site for a variety of characteristics, including size, shape and security from predators and the elements. In many areas, wood ducks have difficulty finding suitable natural nesting sites. Wood duck boxes provide a man-made alternative, where hens can nest in relative safety from predators. The deployment of large numbers of nesting boxes can be used to help increase local or regional populations of wood ducks in areas where natural cavities are limited.
This wooden box is 9" x 25", and attached to a 9" x 31" backing piece. ready for mounting to a post.
