Artist Bio: Laura Jean Has created over 100 collaborative mosaic murals and installations. She was commissioned by the Andy Warhol museum to create a large tile mural depicting imagery paying homage to Julia, Andy Warhols mother for the exterior of the museum.

Jill Birschbach

Materials: Dark Stoneware, Slip, Glaze, Decal
Dimensions: 3" x 3" x 2"
Description of the Piece: This piece is hand built with slabs of dark stoneware. It is a small house form with a hole on the back so it can be hung on the wall. The dark clay body was covered in white slip and then glazed. It is fired again to a lower temperature for the ceramic decal. The decal melts into the glaze surface and is permanently encased. I created the decal from a photograph I took when I lived in Nebraska.
Artist Bio: Jill has an MFA from the University of Nebraska. She has exhibited at AKAR Gallery, Red Lodge Clay Center, The Clay Studio, Contemporary Craft, Morean Center for Clay. Her studio is at Midwest Clay Guild in Skokie, IL.
