Join us on Saturday, May 16, for Out of Hand: Forest of Delights - Contemporary Craft's signature annual gala and auction. Proceeds support free access to our exhibitions, resources for artists working in craft materials, and dynamic programs that engage and inspire our community.

Celebrate throughout Timmons Studios with open bars, small bites and desserts, music from KINSELLAND RADIO, and a silent auction featuring handcrafted works and curated experiences.

An intimate beginning to the night, featuring artful hors d'oeuvres, a signature cocktail and mocktail, a live cellist, and early access to the auction.
Attire: Costumes encouraged! Wear your favorite animal print, flower crown, or forest-inspired finery.

Out of Hand is more than a gala and an auction - it's an immersive celebration of creativity, community, and contemporary craft.
Throughout the evening, guests will enjoy:
- Special Prelude performances by Attack Theatre, in collaboration with puppetry from Cheryl Capezutti, and cellist Cecilia Caughman
- DJ sets throughout the evening by KINSELLAND RADIO
- Small bites from Bistro To Go and desserts from Nosh & Nest
- A signature cocktail/mocktail from Goodlander Cocktail Brewery
- Exploring the Contemporary Craft's studios, including hands-on activities in the Fleischner Family Fibers Loft
- One-of-a-kind auction items including artwork, jewelry, travel, dining, and experiences

PARTY admission begins at 7 PM at Contemporary Craft's Timmons Studios for an immersive evening of art, music, cocktails, food, hands-on activities, and one-of-a-kind auction items.

(If you added the Prelude, Prelude admission begins at 5:30 PM, featuring live performances, cocktails, delicious bites, and a first look at the silent auction before the full party begins at 7 PM.)
Please check in at the registration table at the 57th Street entrance. No printed ticket is required.
Please Note: The heart of this year's celebration takes place inside our Blacksmithing Studio; the studio floor is covered in gravel and creates a lot of dust-please keep this in mind when choosing footwear!
This year's theme is Forest of Delights. We invite guests to embrace the spirit of the evening with forest-inspired finery! Costumes and fanciful attire are encouraged, but not required.
Free parking is available in the lot at the intersection of 56th Street and Harrison Street, as well as street parking throughout the surrounding blocks.
