Surrounded by classic Derby flair-from bold florals to signature mint juleps-guests will come together to bring hope, joy, and life-changing experiences to these extraordinary children.

The night begins with a festive Derby-inspired cocktail hour, where guests can mingle in black-tie-optional attire, with Derby hats encouraged, before enjoying a beautifully curated seated dinner. Live and silent auctions featuring exceptional items and experiences will offer meaningful ways to help make more dreams come true.

Though there will be no live betting at the event, the excitement of the Derby will still shine as guests cheer on their favorite horses. It's all the fun and energy of race day-focused on giving, celebration, and supporting the children at the heart of our mission.

About The Rainbow Connection

The Rainbow Connection was established as a 501(c)3 nonprofit in 1985. Our mission is to grant wishes to Michigan children battling life-threatening illnesses.

A wish helps to strengthen and empower children in battling their illness by enriching the human experience with hope, anticipation, and joy. A wish allows a child the ability to look past their condition and gives precious time with family to create memories they can all treasure. Since 1985, they have granted an average of 150 wishes each year and over 4,600 wishes since their inception.

Over 86% of every dollar donated goes directly to programs and services for children with life-threatening illnesses.
