4th Annual Golf Outing for Hawthorne Parents at White Pines Golf Course. The White Pines Golf Club's two 18-hole championship courses (east & west course), situated on over 260 acres, has been a favorite among Chicago area golfers since 1928. The facility, owned and operated by the Bensenville Park District, is an excellent choice for players of all skill levels in DuPage County. Whether it's a casual round with friends or an outing or league, White Pines Golf Club offers the perfect setting. Our scenic facilities are sure to make our guests feel like they are "away from it all."

Kindergarten & 2nd Grade Parents! We're bringing in Boards with Babs for a guided charcuterie board-making class. Each attendee will create their own board to take home, and proceeds will be donated to Hawthorne. Come for the food, stay for the community, leave with a board and the satisfaction of giving back to HSA. Come learn from Boards with Babs and build your own cheese + charcuterie board. Ticket includes instruction and all ingredients/materials. Limited spots!

Back by popular demand, the annual HSA Hurri-kegger is coming back for its sophomore season! Moms and Dads, please join us for a house crawl (the hosts live on the same block in Roscoe Village) that will bring you back in time to your college days. Kegs. Jungle juice. Jell-O shots. Solo cups. Koozies. Jams from the late 90s/early 00's. First, the Cagney's will host us for a "wheel of spirits" before we head over to the Mrjenovich house for flip cup & foosball. We'll end the night at the Breymaier house with some beer pong and late night pizza. Guests will each bring home a koozie commemorating the occasion. Don't forget to get into the spirit by wearing gear from your alma mater! 40 spots available. NOTE: Please purchase one ticket per person (two tickets per couple).

K-3 Parents! Dust off your crispest linens and join us for Backyard en Blanc, an evening where Parisian flair meets backyard fun. In a playful nod to the iconic Diner en Blanc, we're gathering for a sunset soiree where the only rule is wear all white. Expect a night of bites and wine/beverages, but leave the formal dining at the door. We're swapping long tables for the high-stakes thrill of Giant Jenga and a few rounds of Cornhole, finished with conversation around the fire. It's all the elegance of the famous tradition with none of the "secret location" stress - just good people, great drinks, and a little healthy competition under the stars. The Matrix 25 Years Later -- Dinner/ Movie and Big Tech Discussion The Matrix will be presented on a 130"+ Projector screen, Blu-ray in 7.1 Dolby HD Audio. At the dawn of the internet in 1999 before smart phones and AI the Matrix offered a startling view of an AI Machine controlled future. The age is here as devices have altered our reality. Watch the ground breaking film and then discuss the themes. Parents can drop their kids off or are welcome to join this event.

Kindergarten Familes are invited to join the Clepp family for a relaxed backyard barbecue. Chris will fire up the smoker, serving brisket, ribs, and all the fixings. Kids (and adults!) can enjoy yard games, sprinklers, and good old-fashioned outdoor fun. Sample menu (finalized at some later date) Pork Belly Burnt Ends, Brisket, St. Louis Style Ribs, Burgers and Hotdogs, Baked Beans, Macaroni and Cheese, Pasta Salad, Hawaiian Rolls, Chips, Cookies, plus juice for the kids and adult beverages.

The 8th graders will have "set sail" from Hawthorne, but it's the perfect time for 8th grade parents to keep Hawthorne bonds alive. Eighth grade parents will enjoy food and drinks on the waters of beautiful Lake Michigan aboard sailboat Antibes. Evening activities will be approximately 4 hours - part of the time at the Chicago dock and part of the time on the lake. Sit back and relax - you've earned it!
