"Helping to Obtain Peace for Eternity"

Words from the artist and Journey Home team member, Ewa Grochowska: A candle has always symbolized comfort, stillness, and peace for me. Today, lighting one allows me to slow down, breathe, and feel safe. But during the time I was a survivor of domestic violence, candles were absent from my life-not by chance, but because peace and relaxation no longer existed for me. I had forgotten what those feelings even were.

This piece was created as a reflection of that journey-from survival to freedom. Now that I am free, I never take moments of peace for granted. The H.O.P.E. Candleholder represents reclaiming safety, stillness, and light after darkness-and honoring those who are still finding their way there.

Each candleholder serves as a reminder that peace is possible and that healing, though deeply personal, is something we can illuminate together.

This one-of-a-kind hand-sculpted ceramic flower was created petal by petal. The flower is securely adhered to a glass vessel filled with sand custom-mixed to complement the glaze of the flower.
