Ridgefield artist Nancy Moore is a self-taught painter whose work explores themes of transformation, identity, and the evolving role of women. After a 38-year career as a book editor, she began painting and developed her acclaimed series "Unconventional Women," blending watercolor, gouache, graphite, and other media on archival paper. Her imaginative works have been exhibited widely in galleries, museums, and institutions-including the Environmental Sciences Center at the Yale Peabody Museum-and are collected in homes across the United States.
