Framed "Sweet Gum" by Mary Ott
This print is an etching with aquatint and colaz overlay on BFK Rives white paper. The image is 8 7/8" it is framed 16" x12"
After studying painting at the Art League School in Alexandria, Virginia, Mary developed a distinctive abstract style featuring expressive lines layered across vibrant color fields. Using strands of embroidery yarn to apply acrylic paint, her work often reflects subtle influences from nature while remaining largely nonrepresentational.
In addition to painting, Mary is an accomplished printmaker working in intaglio, lithography, screen printing, photogravure, and monotype. Her prints are often inspired by digitally altered photography and natural textures.
