Step Up to the Pink Hard Hat Society
How to become a champion during Women Build:
The first, and most important part of participating in Wichita Habitat for Humanity's Women Build and joining the Pink Hard Hat Society is to register.
To register:
- Click on "Become a Champion" button on the Women Build 2026 event website or click on "Sign In or Register" on the top right of this event website.
- Create an account by entering in the appropriate details, such as your first name, last name, mobile phone, email address, and create your username and password. You may also be able to enter other information, such as your mailing address.
- View and read GiveSmart's Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy. Then checkmark the box.
- If you would like to opt-in for text messages, checkmark the Text Messages box. This is how you can receive notifications about the event. Messages and data rates may apply.
- Click the "Create my GiveSmart account" button to continue.
- Click the OK within the All Set Message to complete your registration.
- If you already have an account, please log in appropriately.
Creating your fundraising page:
You are just beginning to join the Pink Hard Hat Society by creating your very own fundraising page for our Women Build.
When you click "Become a Champion," you will have the opportunity to name your page and set your goal. Setting your goal at $500 is the recommended amount for the Pink Hard Hat Society; however, you can set your goal to any amount you'd like to support Wichita Habitat for Humanity. Once you've named your page and set your goal, click "Create Fundraising Page."
About your fundraising page:
After creating your fundraising page, you can go directly to the page you've just created. Click "Go to Fundraising Page."
How to edit your fundraising page:
- On your fundraising page, you can edit your fundraising page by clicking "Edit Fundraising Page."
- You will be able to edit the page title, goal, content, and champion image.
- Once details have been updated, click "Save."
Request approval:
- Once your fundraising page is ready to be approved, click "Request approval now!" in the top yellow banner.
- Your page will be live and you will be able to use the shareable link once your page is approved.
- Your request will generally take up to one business day for approval.

Where should I share my fundraising page?
- You can easily share your fundraising page on your social media pages or in your social circles. Send your link to your family and friends and help raise funds for affordable housing solutions!
When does the event end?
- The event will officially end on May 31, 2026. All funds will be calculated and individuals/teams will be notified about their fundraiser at the end of the event. Individuals/teams who have raised more than $500 will be invited to the exclusive Pink Party on Thursday, June 25. Full details will be available for invitees. Is there a deadline to register as a Champion?
- While you can register at any time via the event website, we encourage you to sign up early to give yourself plenty of time to reach the $500 goal and secure your spot in the Pink Hard Hat Society.
Can I fundraise as part of a team?
- Absolutely! You can create a team name during registration and invite your "crew" to sign up under your squad. If the team collectively reaches the fundraising milestones, members will be eligible for the Pink Hard Hat Society perks.
What is the "Power Brunch" and when does it take place?
- The Power Brunch kicks off the Women Build season with a morning of connection and purpose. This event will take place at 10 a.m.-Noon on Saturday, February 28 at the Wichita Marriott. Tickets are $50/person. Click here to purchase tickets.
How do I get my limited-edition pink hard hat lapel pin?
- Lapel pins are awarded to individuals or teams who successfully raise $500 or more. These will be distributed to our Champions during the recognition events in Summer 2026. Limited quantities available.
Do I have to volunteer on a build site to be a Champion?
- While we would love to have you on-site for our Women Build opportunities, the Pink Hard Hat Society is specifically focused on your peer-to-peer fundraising efforts. You can choose to fundraise, volunteer, or-ideally-do both!
