The Patrick S. Breen Memorial Scholarship was created to provide Yonkers students with opportunities for a values-based Catholic education. Established in 2025, this scholarship honors Patrick's enduring legacy and celebrates the remarkable impact he had on his community. Patrick truly exemplified the values-based Catholic school education that meant so much to him, attending Catholic schools throughout his life-from St. Joseph's in Bronxville to Fordham Preparatory School in the Bronx, and on to Le Moyne College in Syracuse.

Patrick's life was devoted to service, mentorship, and community. As a Sergeant for the Yonkers Police Department, his influence deeply touched the neighborhoods he served and the colleagues he mentored.

Through this scholarship, the Breen family hopes to honor Patrick's legacy by supporting students in Yonkers and opening doors to the same meaningful education that shaped Patrick's life.

Please join us for a fundraiser in Patrick's memory at Rory Dolan's in Yonkers on March 1, 2026. The event is from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
