Furious about the way ICE terrorizes our communities-targeting field workers during the pandemic, even after Congress deemed them "essential"- Escobar created this sculpture series in an act of protest. "ICE Pop" echoes the popular protest chant, "MELT ICE!" while alluding to those targeted by this government agency: street vendors, who, from the hot valleys of Southern California to the labyrinthine subway system of New York City, bring simple nostalgic joys into our everyday lives, all for a few bucks.

Traces of My Dream holds the silhouette of an adult and a child nested within the American flag "a shared space of hope, labor, and longing. It reflects the dream as it is often seen: bold, visible, and aspirational. Their presence is marked not by dominance, but by traces: fine, glowing seed-bead paths that map years of contribution, sacrifice, and quiet perseverance. These lines follow the body like memory "uncelebrated, yet essential. This work speaks to the immigrant dream not as a possession, but as a passage "one carried forward through generations. Traces of My Dream is a reminder that even when presence is threatened or erased, impact endures.
