Tuscan Summer
A Mixed-Media Floral Triptych by Jennifer Breitbach | Zinndahlia Designs
Jennifer Breitbach of Zinndahlia Designs, a teaching artist at the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center for the Arts, created Tuscan Summer -- a striking mixed-media floral triptych that transforms traditional still-life painting into dimensional art.
Created exclusively for The Big Event, Jennifer hand painted wooden boxes with layered earth tones. To create depth, texture, and cohesion across the collection, techniques included:
- Impasto - palette-knife application of thick paint layers creating sculptural texture
- Sgraffito - scratching and carving into wet paint for expressive surface detail
- Wet-on-wet blending - soft, layered color transitions and painterly movement
Jennifer then brought the paintings to life by filling each floral box with lush complementary wooden and artificial botanical arrangements that extend beyond the painted frame, allowing the still-life compositions to literally bloom into three dimensions.
The Tuscan Summer collection includes:
- (2) Large Panels - 24" x 36"
- (1) Medium Panel - 20" x 30"
An extraordinary opportunity to own a handcrafted work that merges painting, sculpture, florals, and contemporary mixed-media artistry - while supporting arts education and entertainment at the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center for the Arts.
The Tuscan Summer collection will be exhibited during The Big Event for guests to experience up close. Event attendance is not required to bid or win. Winners attending the event may take the artwork home that evening if able; alternatively, convenient pickup arrangements may be scheduled after the event.
