Give a young storyteller the opportunity to step into a real studio, work with industry professionals, and create their own movie in an unforgettable week of creativity, collaboration, and confidence-building.

This donated Film Camp experience is a hands-on filmmaking program designed for aspiring young creators ages between 7 and 14. Throughout the week, students learn the complete filmmaking process - from developing ideas and writing scenes to directing, acting, cinematography, sound, and editing.

Campers work together in small production teams using professional filmmaking equipment while being mentored by experienced filmmakers and industry guests. Every student gets the chance to explore multiple roles both behind and in front of the camera, helping them discover new creative passions and build valuable communication and leadership skills.

By the end of camp, students will have created original short films that premiere on the big screen at a special end-of-camp screening for friends and family - giving them the exciting experience of seeing their work celebrated like real filmmakers.

A one-hour private breathwork meditation session led by Andrew Smart, certified meditation instructor, author of Breathwork: How To Use Your Breath To Change Your Life, and LILA dad. Breathwork meditation can help you get out of your head and into your heart. A typical one-hour session includes an intense period of guided active breathing (pranayama) followed by a period of deeply restorative relaxation. While no two sessions are exactly the same, emotional release, powerful physical sensations, ego-softening, and heightened clarity and creativity are to be expected. Dress comfortably. 4 One-hour Art Classes at The Wizard of Art

The Wizard of Art has been teaching fine art on Hillhurst for 30 years. At The Wizard of Art, we want students to enjoy art while learning to draw and paint. A foundation in drawing is based on teaching the art of seeing basic shapes, light and shadow. A student's natural instincts and abilities are nurtured through encouragement and support. Positive instruction can produce amazing accomplishments in art and establish a wealth of self-esteem.

The Wizard of Art enrolls students ages 4 through 104. Classes contain up to 11 students with 2 teachers. All classes consist of students of all ages and abilities, with each student receiving individual instruction. Every student works on his or her own artwork, according to individual level of experience and interest.
