Jessica is best known for her portraits, recognizable for their expressionist style and vibrant color. You may recognize one of her portraits from the cover of Hello Beautiful. Jessica studied at the School of Visual Arts and at the Art Students League in New York with legendary painter Hananiah Harari, and later continued her studies with acclaimed portrait and landscape artist Andrew Lattimore.

The tater tots have worked together to create a sweet class project, 'Little Flowers' made from their watercolor and crayon resist art, just so precious! A special note: "We love you Al, Oh yes we do!" Our TPG emeritus teacher, Alesandra Castellucci left us with a beautiful legacy of school spirit- filled with art, music, and care! Like the tater tots, Alesandra adored flowers! She wrote flower songs, went on 'flower walks', and created lovely paper bouquets for the children to enjoy!

"Rainbow Tree"- 18 x24 inch canvas, mixed media collage in the style of Eric Carle.

During a study of the works of Eric Carle every single Intermediate kid worked on this truly collaborative project. Each aspect was constructed over multiple days with multiple techniques, and then collaged together. The kids were excited about creating during every step, including easel painting, tissue paper texturing, painting again, drawing, pasteling, gluing, and naming their work. This piece reflects our students curiosity about their natural surroundings and the ways we have followed the changing seasons, with a nod to this year's auction theme.

The Pre-k class has made a beautiful blooming "Pansy Tree" Tapestry that would look wonderful hanging on any wall! We used a technique called Eco printing, which means using natural found materials around us to make prints on fabric. Each pansy flower was handpicked and laid face down on the fabric and printed using just a mallet and our strong pre-K hands to hit it! The tree trunk was also printed using barks and sticks from real trees. The image is flanked by beautifully wrapped sticks that we've also found together as a class!

"Enchanted Forest" by the Post Day class is inspired by classic fairy tales. After seeing the magical season of Spring, our class felt inspired to create magical mushroom creatures beside a community of rainbow fairies. Their imagination really shines in this one-of-a-kind art piece!
