FEARLESS: API Chaya's Gala & Dance Party!
We invite you to be fearless in your care for survivors and defense of our communities. API Chaya continues to support immigrant survivors to see a future beyond abuse and violence. Our advocates help survivors meet basic needs, provide emotional support, and journey with survivors toward safety and stability. In a system that continues to oppress immigrant, BIPOC, disabled, LGBTQ+, and other marginalized communities, we stand firm in our belief that all people deserve safety, belonging, joy, and healing. FAQ on Event Accessibility
ADA Access: The Westin Seattle is ADA accessible. We welcome you to bring wheelchairs to the event and we encourage you to let us know if you have other access needs during registration.
Childcare: Lap infants are welcome to join you in the ballroom and do not need a separate ticket. If you would like to register an infant, toddler, or child for childcare services, please purchase a childcare ticket during registration. Programming is designed for elementary-school aged children, but children of all ages are welcome to join. All guests who require their own meal or seat in the dining room will need a gala ticket. Childcare can be made a nut-free space upon request. Please include food allergies and other medical concerns when you purchase your child's ticket.
Food Allergies: The Westin Seattle can curate meals that address food allergies. Please note your concerns in your registration. All salads and main courses will be served gluten free. The vegetarian option will be a vegan meal. Gluten-free and vegan dessert options will be available.
Interpreters: API Chaya will have CART and ASL interpretation during the gala's dinner program. Please inform us if you require an interpreter. Please purchase your ticket (with a request for interpreter) or email [email protected] to request an interpreter by April 20, 2026.
Nursing Room: A nursing room will be available on the 3rd floor of the venue for caregivers.
Quiet Room: Feeling a little overwhelmed? API Chaya will have quiet rooms available on the 3rd floor of the venue, below the ballroom, if you need a low-sensory break.
Parking: There is free first-come, first-serve parking available at the Amazon Doppler parking garage at 2021 7th Ave, Seattle, WA 98121. Paid self-park and valet are available on a first-come, first-serve basis at the Westin Seattle, as well as several paid parking garages nearby.
Public Transportation: The Westlake Light Rail Station is a 3 min walk away from The Westin! There are also other bus stops near the area.
Volunteering: We welcome you to volunteer for the API Chaya gala. Please email [email protected] if you are interested in supporting our event.
Wheelchair Support: Please let us know if you'd like support getting a guest from the valet area to the ballroom via wheelchair. We are happy to have a volunteer escort you or your guest. Email [email protected] to make a request.
