About Cat:
Cat Burns is probably best known for being in two seasons of the Netflix series "Blown Away", but at home, she must make her craft pay for her art. She has been a full-time production glassmaker for 11 years and her design studio currently sells out of online drops in minutes thanks to her quarter million followers on Tiktok. That work helps fund her use of glass as a therapeutic practice where the meditation of making allows her to work through personal obstacles such as her degrading eyesight. Her art currently focuses on making glass pieces accessible to those without vision by exploring the tactile side of color through the ancient technique of murrini turned braille in which viewers are invited to "Please Touch the Glass".
Chris Giordano has been working with glass since 2006, having studied Furnace glassblowing at Franklin Pierce University in New Hampshire. Since then, Chris has worked in several studios around the country and creates works of his own as an independent artist.
His work reflects techniques that are traditional to the island of Murano, Italy-including the use of both cane and murrine. Many of his works also include glass cutting patterns called Batutto-a technique that is also from Venice.
Currently, Chris resides in Corning, New York and is a full time artist and owner of GIOSTUDIO Glass. His works have been shown in a variety of venues including The Studio at The Corning Museum of Glass, Gilford Art Center, The West End Gallery, Brooklyn Waterfronts Artists Coalition, The Arts Council of The Southern Finger Lakes, 171 Cedar Arts Center and The John Michael Kohler Art Center. Chris's work is also available at The Shops in the Corning Museum of Glass.
