Chaney Ford - Academy

GOAL

Chaney is a radiant and joyful 9-year-old who brings light to everyone around her. She has a rare genetic condition called Hist1H1E Syndrome and began therapy when she was just 12 months old. At age 5, her family moved to Little Rock so she could attend Easterseals Academy for her K-12 education.

At Easterseals, Chaney receives physical, occupational, and speech therapy alongside a specialized curriculum tailored to her needs. She is learning to read and build her math skills, and she absolutely loves going to school each day. Her excitement for learning is contagious.

Outside the classroom, Chaney shines just as brightly. She loves to dance, lip-sync to her favorite songs, and proudly looks up to her big sister, Lucy.

Chaney is truly thriving at Easterseals. Her family is deeply grateful for a school and community where she is celebrated for exactly who she is. With the support, safety, and encouragement she receives, Chaney is building confidence and working toward the greatest independence possible. She will likely remain part of the Easterseals community throughout her K-12 journey and beyond, and her family couldn't be more thankful for the loving support that surrounds her every step of the way.
