Malaiya Mayweather is a very soft spoken and kind friend. Malaiya enjoys attending concerts, line dancing, going to the movies, having self care days (hair, nails and pedicures) and being with family and friends.
Malaiya was diagnosed with an intellectual disability at a young age. She graduated high school in 2017. Following her graduation, Malaiya participated in various training and volunteer opportunities. One training opportunity assisted her with gaining employment in which Malaiya worked for a federal agency for 2 years. However Malaiya had a desire to seek more social and educational outlets. In seeking available outlets that would be suitable for Malaiya, we learned of the different programs at Easterseals. After visiting several Easterseals programs, Malaiya decided she wanted to attend Easterseals Center for Wellness and Training (CTW). She began with Easterseals CTW in 2023. Malaiya has a smile for everyone and is shining star amongst all!
