GOAL

Amy is 49 years old. She was diagnosed with Down syndrome at birth and has lived a life filled with determination, achievement, and joy. One of Amy's greatest passions is ice skating. In 1997, she proudly represented her abilities on an international stage when she was selected to compete in the International Special Olympics in Toronto, Canada, where she earned a Bronze Medal in figure skating, a remarkable accomplishment that reflects her dedication and talent.

In recent years, Amy's life has gone through changes. After her mother was diagnosed with dementia last year, new opportunities opened for Amy to attend Easterseals, where she continues to grow, learn, and stay active in her community. In her free time, Amy enjoys working on puzzles and relaxing with her favorite cooking shows on television. Her story is one of resilience, enthusiasm, and a love for life's simple pleasures.
