Growing up just a few miles from famous Boca Grande, he was introduced to one of the best fisheries in the world at a very young age and has proven his passion for the sport ever since.
Once he moved to the Florida Keys he spent every waking second obsessing over this new fishery. It didn't take long to figure out that his passion was sight fishing in the shallows for a variety of species with both fly and spinning gear. He has made an obsession out of guiding people to tarpon, permit, bonefish and many other species in the backcountry of the Lower Keys and Key West.
Capt. Nick has been fishing the flats and backcountry around Key West since 2012 and spent his time exploring the surrounding area from Big Pine Key to the Marquesas Keys. Charter w/ Capt Chad Huff
$1050Full day Flats Fishing Charter with Capt. Chad Huff
Chad Huff, Fly Fishing Guide:
"I grew up the son of a fishing guide in the Florida Keys.
I sight fished my first tarpon at age 6. My brother and I got our first boat in 1978 at the age of 8 and we would explore the flats around Marathon. We got our first flats skiff and used to take it across Florida Bay to Flamingo and Cape Sable by ourselves. I caught my first Bonefish on fly by myself in 1984. In 1984 we also started coming to Chokoloskee to explore the Everglades. I fell in love with that untouched wilderness.
I specialize in fly fishing but also offer spin/conventional fishing. Tarpon, Snook, Redfish are my primary targets but also catch triple tail, trout, and occasionally see large schools of permit. Fishing in the Everglades and 10,000 Islands. Full day charters, aboard Hell's Bay Boatworks Guide 18."

Jared was born and raised in Key West, Florida. He is a 7th generation conch. To say that Jared is a good fly-guide is a shallow portrayal. He has a depth of knowledge about the waters of Key West and an understanding of the fishery that goes far beyond being able to pole a flats boat. Charter w/ Capt. Derek Rust
$900Full day Flats Fishing Charter with Capt. Derek Rust
"My name is Captain Derek Rust. I was born in the small town of Whitman, Massachusetts located on the south shore of the state. I grew up there fishing the local ponds for bass, and the near coastal waters for stripers, bluefish, and false albies. Fishing was always a passion of mine, and it started at a very early age. My mother and my uncle were responsible for getting me into the sport of fishing. They always made time to bring me out fishing when I was young, and I will never forget that.
In my early 20's, I moved from Massachusetts to Lake Tahoe, California to pursue another passion of mine, skiing. After a short time, skiing fell quickly to second place in the pecking order after I fell in love with fly fishing. The challenge fly fishing is what draws me to it. It is always humbling, but can be extremely rewarding when everything lines up right. Once I started fly fishing, it became a quest to catch everything that swims on a fly, and, I spend all of my free time and money doing it. This quest has taken me to some pretty amazing places around the planet in search of new challenges. This is what ultimately drove me to move to the Keys full time. The challenge of sight fishing here became addicting, and I was completely consumed by it.
I have been visiting the middle Keys since I graduated high school. I always loved the island lifestyle, and knew that I wanted to end up here one day, and, somehow it worked out. I now live in Marathon, FL, right in the middle of the Keys full time. I guide here in the Keys year round, and I specialize in fly fishing and light tackle shallow water sight fishing. Sight fishing is highly exciting, and, can be addicting. The thrill of hearing your own heart beat while a monster permit tails in front of you is something you will never forget. Fishing is my life. I love to share my passion down here with everyone, and I am fortunate to get to do it on a daily basis."
This charter is available for up to two anglers. Anglers must call in advance to ensure availability. Winning bidders are at the discretion of the guide. Trip date is based on mutual availability. Charter w/ Capt. Greg Dini
$1250Full day Flats Fishing Charter with Capt. Greg Dini
"I was born in Orlando, Florida and began fishing at a very young age. I graduated to the saltwater environment at the age of 10, when our family bought a condo on the east coast of Florida. I mastered my home waters of Mosquito Lagoon while in high school and made trips down to the Florida Keys on a regular basis. I was fortunate enough to play sports as a young man and received a scholarship to play division one baseball at the University of Miami. This is where my addiction began as I got hooked on the three biggest saltwater flats species (Tarpon, Bonefish, Permit). Going to class was extremely hard when you live in an area that has incredible fishing opportunities, as South Florida did. Racing down to fish in Islamorada on an off day from classes was a regular occurrence. I quickly realized what I had in my backyard, some of the best flats fishing fisheries in the world!! The Florida keys, Biscayne bay, and Everglades were all wishing a short drive and I took advantage of these opportunities.
I invite you to come share in my addiction and look forward to spending some time with you on the bow of my skiff!!" - Capt. Greg

Trip w/ Capt. Lenny Leonard
$850Full day Flats Fishing Charter with Capt. Lenny Leonard
"Welcome to fishing in legendary Key West. I'm Captain Lenny Leonard. Have you caught yourself day dreaming about fishing the shallow water flats off Key West, the Marquesas, and the Lower Florida Keys? Have you ever made a cast to a school of feeding bonefish, or stalked a tailing permit? How about fly fishing for a daisy chaining tarpon, or doing battle with the most feared of the ocean going predators, the shark or barracuda? Key West has the much deserved reputation of having the finest flats fishing found anywhere in the world. Whether you are spin casting in the back country Snipe Keys, or fly fishing in the far western atoll known as the Marquesas Keys, you will enjoy the challenge of light tackle sight fishing. You can catch them all: tarpon, permit, bonefish, shark, and barracuda. You could even be lucky enough to catch the grand slam. Can you imagine catching and releasing a tarpon, permit, and bonefish all in the same day! I've seen it done. Key West is also loaded with the fun fish. Jack cravalle, bar jack, ladyfish, snook and redfish roam the clear, pristine water in and around the flats of the Lower Keys and Key West. Key West is just minutes away from the most exciting flats fishing you will ever experience. I hope we will soon meet, so we can share the experience of 'Fishing the Flats'." - Capt Lenny

Born and raised in Harrisville, Michigan, he started fishing the rivers and lake waters at an early age. For the past 15 summer seasons, he has guided at the premier Alaska Sportsman Fishing Lodge located in heart of the Bristol Bay region. During these summers in Alaska, he was able to refine his fishing skills and cultivate the patience and experience necessary for professional charter business.
His true passion, however, is fishing the flats and shallow waters of the Florida Keys. In 2010, he started his company Shallow Phins in Big Pine Key. Which is home to the famous migrating Tarpon, larger tailing Permit or Bonefish, along with Sharks, Barracudas, Redfish, Cobia, Jacks, just to name a few!
