Give the gift that enhances trust, collaboration, and freedom! The Seeing Eye harness is a specialized tool designed to facilitate communication and navigation between a guide dog and its handler. When the team is at work, the subtle movements of the harness handle convey directional cues and feedback, helping the handler to more easily interpret the Seeing Eye dog's actions. Available in multiple sizes, each harness now features a magnetic clip that delivers a secure, hassle-free fit with just one simple click.
Your generous gift of $350 covers the cost of a new harness and reflects your heartfelt support for the life-changing work of The Seeing Eye.

Provide One Day of Critical Training! Each year The Seeing Eye welcomes 12 classes of students to campus to be partnered with Seeing Eye dogs. The Seeing Eye instruction program is intense, with students not only receiving instruction on working with a guide dog, but also lessons on caring for a Seeing Eye dog. Twice daily training trips to Morristown (and later during the class, other locations such as New York City, local malls, etc.) are supplemented by lectures, meetings and group discussions to reinforce training, address travel issues and provide information on their rights and responsibilities. Each class lasts from 18 to 25 days, depending on whether students are returning for replacement guides (and are experienced guide dog handlers), in which case the program is 18 days, or first time students at The Seeing Eye, whose course of instruction lasts 25 days. Your donation represents one day of critical training between a student and his or her Seeing Eye dog.
Provide One Set of Booties for a Seeing Eye Dog Booties are used by Seeing Eye dogs to protect their paws from the elements. In the winter, salt used to melt ice can hurt their paws. In the hottest part of summer, cement and pavement heats up to extreme temperatures. Booties protect a Seeing Eye dog's paws so they can continue to comfortably guide their owners. Your donation represents the cost to buy one set of four booties for a Seeing Eye dog.
Provide Transportation To and From The Seeing Eye for 2 Students Our campus in Morristown, NJ is bustling when new students arrive to be matched and trained with their Seeing Eye dogs. These students come from near and far and The Seeing Eye provides all the transportation costs. You can be a champion for two students' round trip travel to The Seeing Eye with a gift of $1000.
Training Seeing Eye dogs and teaching people with blindness how to use them may be one of the most noble professions in the world. Long hours, tired feet and cold or rainy days do nothing to deter the unparalleled joy an instructor feels when a student leaves The Seeing Eye with a new guide and companion. Your donation of $100 will help equip our dedicated instructors with essential gear like quality rain jackets and high-performance athletic shoes, enabling them to carry out their work with greater safety and ease.
Help Seeing Eye dogs start out strong with the essential gear they need! Every student in our program receives a cozy, rugged travel mat for their new Seeing Eye dog - a versatile quilted pad that serves many purposes. It can provide a familiar resting place in hotel rooms, shield dogs from cold or dirty floors, create a designated spot during appointments, and support countless other needs along the way. Your gift of $20 represents the cost for one portable dog mat - a small but helpful piece of gear that can make a difference wherever a Seeing Eye dog's journey may lead.

Since our founding, The Seeing Eye has stood at the forefront of progress-breaking barriers and opening doors for people who work with guide dogs. Today, that fierce determination remains as strong as ever. Our Advocacy and Government Relations team is leading the way, introducing transformative tools like the Seeing Eye Advocacy App. Thousands of Seeing Eye graduates and other service animal handlers have already downloaded this free app, equipping them with the legal resources and materials they need to challenge unlawful discrimination and educate businesses about their access rights. With your gift of $50, you can help us expand and update the app's content, fix software glitches, and incorporate user feedback. Your support will keep this vital resource up-to-date and easily accessible for the people who need it most.
