When public schools in Northern Virginia close for winter break, many of the children in our client families lose access to the free and reduced-price meals they depend on during the school year. This time of year, we also see families burdened with higher utility costs and struggling with difficult choices regarding holiday budgets.
You can make a difference for our clients' families by helping to put wholesome holiday food on the table. This year, Britepaths' Holiday Program will provide grocery gift cards and toys to local children as part of our first-ever two-day Winter Wonderland event. Kids can make crafts and enjoy snacks while their parents select just the right toy and have it wrapped - no peeking! We'll also have community partners on hand to share information about other valuable resources in our region.
