Native American Vintage Dan Coriz Turquoise Sterling Silver Cross Necklace
Own a remarkable piece of handcrafted Native American artistry with this vintage turquoise and sterling silver cross necklace by renowned Santo Domingo artist Daniel (Dan) Coriz. The pendant features a multi-color mosaic design set in sterling silver, with mother of pearl, turquoise, jet, opal, and sponge coral carefully inlaid to create a striking cross. Measuring 2" long (including the bail) and 1 1/8" wide, the pendant is accompanied by a 17" adjustable sterling chain.
The back of the pendant is signed "O. Coriz" with a thunderbird stamp and marked "sterling", certifying its authenticity.
About the Artist:
Daniel Coriz was born in 1964 in Santo Domingo Pueblo, where he continues to live and work as a respected jewelry artist. Taught by his mother, Nestoria Coriz, and grandfather, Lupe Pena, Daniel mastered the traditional methods of silverwork and stone inlay. His craftsmanship reflects both his cultural heritage and his lifelong dedication to the art form.
