Kazuri, which means small and beautiful in Swahili, is hand-painted ceramic jewelry made in Kenya. Every bead is shaped by hand by one of the 300 local women employed by Kazuri. The beads are then kiln-fired once, glazed and fired again before being strung. Adjustable in length from approx. 21" to 30"

Kobe is the Swahili word for the African Sea Turtle, a beautiful sea creature with a hard external shell. Kobe represents both the amazing beauty and the toughness of the African Savannah. Through their work with the Maasai women, Kobe has provided much needed livelihood support.

This necklace is made from hand-painted, fair-trade ceramic beads. The clay used to make the beads is responsibly mined from the foot of Africa's second tallest mountain, Mt. Kenya.

Brass is believed to have healing properties due to its composition of copper and zinc. It's been associated with boosting the immune system and in some traditions, is thought to promote emotional balance and courage.
