About the Artwork:

This original gyotaku fish print, created by local artist Nate Andrews and donated on behalf of First Community Mortgage, features a Tautog caught just ¼ mile off Bluff Head Nature Preserve on Block Island. The fish was hand-painted using ink made from Spanish cuttlefish and locally caught squid, then pressed onto hemp canvas to capture a true one-of-a-kind impression. Known for their powerful, crab-devouring nature, Tautog are a signature species of New England's rocky coast. This piece is valued between $600-$900.
