Mac Pakula "Apache Trackers"

Apache Trackers bronze Mac Pakula sculpture includes signed Oro Valley magazine featuring the artist. The bronze sculpture is on a rotating wood base.

Total measurement: 9" x 13" x 13"

In the 1950s, Pakula was a comic book artist for Atlas (later Marvel) on titles such as Strange Tales, Battle, and World of Fantasy, drawing war, spy, and suspense stories.

He worked as a technical artist and supervisor of the Graphics Department for aerospace programs, including Northrop-Grumman and NASA.

Later in his career, Pakula became known for his bronze sculptures, which often depicted Western themes, such as prospectors, mountain men, and Native American figures, as well as wildlife like cougars.

Born in 1923, Pakula died in 2013. He received his education at the School of Industrial Art and the Cartoonists and Illustrators School in New York. He was based in Oro Valley, Arizona, in his later life.

Brad Nuorala graduated from the University of Wisconsin Superior with a BS degree in art and art education and an MA degree from the University of Wisconsin at Madison, WI with a major in painting and a minor in sculpture.

In 2010, Brad moved to Oro Valley, AZ. Being retired, allowed Brad to devote more time to painting. He has exhibited in Minnesota and Arizona, as well as participating in juried exhibitions. In 2017 Brad was commissioned to do three works for Urban Chalet Design. Courtney Benton is an interior designer by trade, and paints bird houses for a hobby.

Courtney was born in Montana and moved to AZ in 1951. She has always been attracted to Mexican folk art and all the bright colors. The word pajarito - little bird - can usually be found somewhere on the bird houses. Courtney has been painting the bird houses for 15 years.

Gosamos (enjoy) to the person who wins the bid for the bird house. It is Courtney's great pleasure to donate to the Ronald McDonald House.
