Who are we?
Italian Home for Children is a 105-year-old nonprofit that promotes the growth and well-being of youth, adults, and families with social, emotional, behavioral, and educational needs through a broad range of specialized services. This unique continuum of care includes in-home therapy, therapeutic after school and vacation week programs, a special education school, an intensive group home, and many more life-saving programs. To learn more, follow us on Facebook and Instagram, and visit italianhome.org.
Why Italian Home?
The demand for Italian Home for Children's services has never been greater. Our care often extends beyond the model reimbursed by insurance and state agencies. This extra support provided to youth and families is not billable, however is critical to the success of the children and families we work with to avoid future hospitalizations and, ultimately, save lives. Your generosity to the gala directly impacts those we serve, helps us increase the number of lives we impact, and bridges the fiscal gap this organization faces every year.
About Emerging Leaders Group
Emerging Leaders Society (ELS) is Italian Home for Children's group of compassionate young professionals.
It gives up-and-coming leaders the opportunity to serve as ambassadors of our work of helping children facing behavioral and educational challenges
receive life-saving programs and services. For more than 100 years, we have assisted the most vulnerable children in our area, initially, youngsters orphaned by the great flu pandemic of 1918 - today, children from all backgrounds.

The short answer? Your donation helps us provide care to youth and families. The longer answer is that we work with youth who have emotional, behavioral, and educational challenges. No two kiddos are the same. Some might need to move on campus with us to get the help they need. Others might be fine to stay in their home while working with a clinician to champion their challenges. We provide a spectrum of services that fit the needs of youth in the area. To help families receive these services, donations from folks, like you, are crucial. To learn more about the work we do, follow us on Facebook and Instagram, and visit italianhome.org.
