Brooklyn Glass, an artist-owned studio, is a unique resource for glass artists and craftspeople working in the New York City area, promoting glass blowing, hot casting, kilncasting, neon, flameworking, and fusing. Our 4,000 square foot facility contains a complete glass working studio including: two furnaces, five glory holes, various annealers, a flameworking studio (including 2 glass lathes), and a fully-equipped neon facility and cold working studio, all of which are available to artists for hourly rental.

This package includes two (2) passes for an after-hours dress rehearsal on Thursday, June 26, 2025 from 6:30-8:30PM of a site-specific percussion and movement work at The Met Cloisters in Upper Manhattan.

THE FORREST OF METAL OBJECTS is a newly commissioned site-specific work by the pioneering New York City-based composer Michael Gordon. Created in collaboration with the renowned choreographer-directors Paul Lazar and Annie-B Parson, this vibrant procession for sixteen percussionists and six actors features a unique sonic landscape of cymbals, gongs, vibraphones, and specially tuned sheets aluminum.

In this class, you will learn the sewing machine basics and will complete a denim tote bag perfect for carrying bottles of wine, all while enjoying a glass of wine. During the course, you will learn sewing machine basics such as how to thread a sewing machine, how to thread a bobbin, basic machine stitches and seam finishes, and step-by-step tote bag construction.
