Dr. Dennis & Dr. Pamela Cosgrove

Dennis and Pamela Cosgrove are trading in their white coats for dancing shoes as they take the stage together for this year's Let's Dance fundraiser supporting WCTE PBS. Both longtime optometrists in Cookeville, the couple share a passion for giving back to their community-and for having fun on the dance floor.

Pamela, who has always loved to dance, saw this event as the perfect opportunity to support a cause close to her heart. Dennis laughs that he joined in "because my wife asked me to and I didn't want her dancing with someone else."

Together, Dennis and Pamela appreciate the invaluable role WCTE plays in the region, from trusted news and educational programming to emergency alerts and cultural resources. "WCTE and PBS provide quality programming that's free from commercial interests," Pamela says, while Dennis adds that he hopes this event raises awareness of the many ways WCTE supports the community.

Beyond the dance floor, Dennis-founding member of Cookeville Eye Specialists-recently semi-retired after 27 years of service and now enjoys more time with family, especially out on Center Hill Lake. Pamela, meanwhile, treasures the inspiration she's received from both her parents: her father, an NBA player and coach inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2022, and her mother, who sparked her lifelong love of dance.

With each step, spin, and laugh, the Cosgroves are excited to celebrate their love of dance, their partnership, and their commitment to keeping WCTE strong for the Upper Cumberland.
