Lucas Patterson & Mira Woodlee
McMinnville, TN (Warren County)

Lucas Patterson, a lifelong farmer, and his aunt, Mira Woodlee, a retired Social Security employee, are thrilled to share the dance floor together in support of WCTE PBS. While their inspiration comes from the timeless big band era-In the Mood by the Glenn Miller Orchestra being a personal favorite-they are most excited about the chance to dance for a cause that means so much to them.

"For us, this is another wonderful opportunity to spend time together while supporting PBS," Lucas shares. "WCTE showcases what is great about the Upper Cumberland in a way no other station can. It's a platform that highlights the best of Tennessee and does so with genuine heart."

Both Lucas and Mira see PBS as one of the most trusted sources on television. They credit WCTE with bringing their community access to unforgettable performances, powerful documentaries, and meaningful news stories all year long. "I hope the community sees how valuable WCTE and PBS are," Mira adds, "and that this sparks a new-or rekindled-interest in what WCTE has to offer. Streaming platforms have their place, but PBS gives you something important, something that truly stays with you."

They also want to recognize their biggest cheerleader, Lucas's lifelong best friend, Diloney, who has supported every performance and always makes sure she's the first to get tickets. Fittingly, the telecast will even air on her birthday!

Lucas and Mira cannot wait to participate in this year's fundraiser, blending their love of dance with their deep appreciation for WCTE PBS.
