OUR 2025 HOLY SMOKES SPEAKER: Nate Moellering

Nate Moellering is the CEO of Fort Wayne Recovery and a dedicated advocate for substance abuse recovery and mental health services. His journey to recovery began in February 2017, when he survived two overdoses within 24 hours. Thanks to the compassion of a police officer and the support of former Fort Wayne Recovery CEO Mickey Ashpole, Nate finally received the help he needed.

In 2018, Nate joined Fort Wayne Recovery as the Center Manager and has never looked back. Now in long-term recovery, he is a passionate leader in both local and national efforts to improve access to treatment and support for those struggling with addiction.

Beyond his role at Fort Wayne Recovery, Nate serves as the Executive Vice President for both Allendale Treatment and Allendale Behavioral, a board member for FW22, and a frequent contributor to media outlets such as WANE15 and Fox Business. He is also the co-founder, co-host, and co-producer of the Bare Knuckle Recovery podcast, where he shares powerful stories and insights on addiction and recovery.

Nate's personal experience fuels his mission to break the stigma of addiction and ensure that those struggling with substance use feel seen, supported, and empowered in their recovery journey.

OUR 2025 HOLY SMOKES SPEAKER: Jarred White

Jarred White, a Fort Wayne native, attended Concordia Lutheran High School before answering the call to serve in the United States Marine Corps.

During his time in the Marines, Jarred traveled to numerous countries, gaining a global perspective while serving in critical military operations. He was deployed for Operation Tomodachi, a humanitarian mission providing aid and relief to Japan following the devastating 2011 earthquake and tsunami. Later, he served in Kandahar, Afghanistan, during Operation Enduring Freedom, where he experienced firsthand the intensity and sacrifices of combat.

After completing his military service, Jarred returned home and co-founded FW22 alongside his best friend, driven by the alarming rates of PTSD, traumatic brain injuries, and veteran suicide. Over the past decade, the organization has saved countless lives and positively impacted hundreds of families by providing them with the resources needed to thrive. Through advocacy, outreach, and direct assistance, FW22 has not only saved lives but has also strengthened families and helped veterans rebuild their futures.

Jarred lives by two simple but powerful mottos: "It's okay to not be okay." And, "As a community, when we work together, great things happen."

One Team, One Fight.
