Building a Brighter Future for Adults with Autism

Over 500,000 individuals with autism will age out of the K-12 education system within the next five years. Families impacted by autism have few options for support or programming as their child turns 22 years old. Existing programs have limited focus and don't adequately support the specific and unique needs of individuals living with autism.

The Canopy Adult Program, a division of Giant Steps, is designed to provide adults from across the autism spectrum with a meaningful, safe, and supportive environment. However, our current program operates at a maximum capacity of 32 participants per day. Our planned 21,000-square-foot activity center will enable us to expand our programming to accommodate up to 150 adults per day. We need visionaries like you to help us keep more at-risk adults from becoming the hidden population of the future.
