Salem Community College Teen Glass Experience!
July 21st - 24th; 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Ages 13 -18; $250 per student
Hey teens! Are you interested in working with glass creatively?
Join us this summer to learn two glassworking processes over the course of this 4-day hands-on workshop! This exciting session will include instruction in both flameworking, the process of manipulating glass in a torch; and glass fusing, where student will cut, arrange, and fire glass in a kiln!
No prior experience with glass is required for this fun and educational glass experience! Ages 13 - 18 are welcome to participate in this workshop.

Glass is an amazing and unique material; it is an absolutely magical experience to work with it. Our studio is a fun, creative, and safe place to work. Working with glass does inherently come with some risk. We like to minimize any chance of injury by adhering to a strict health and safety policy. On that note, you will want to be sure to adhere to the dress code below.
Beyond coming dressed properly to work in the studio please bring with you your excitement and enthusiasm; everything else you need we will have here for you! All materials necessary for this workshop are included!
GEC Dress Code:
-No open-toed or open-heeled shoes permitted.
-Natural fiber clothing only, avoid synthetics.
-No skirts. No leggings/jeggings. Shorts are allowed if they are knee length or longer.
-Long hair must be tied back and loose clothing secured.
