Bio:
Susan Ker-Seymer's visual art-spanning painting, printmaking, collage, and installation-is rooted in observing nature and exploration of materials. Through layered processes, her work evolves from instinctive beginnings into thoughtful, visually complex compositions. Her work has been exhibited in both the United States and the United Kingdom in public and private galleries, nonprofit art centers, and site-specific installations. Her work was recently published accompanying "The Beltline Chronicles" by Robert F. Barsky. As a member of 3 different artists groups in the US and UK, she has co-developed group exhibitions and public artworks, including installations for the Atlanta Beltline Art program that investigate themes of relationship, place, and the porous boundary between individual and collective experience.
Ker-Seymer studied painting at the Atlanta College of Art and holds degrees in Fashion Design and Graphic Design-early disciplines that continue to inform her distinctive approach to color, surface, and structure.
