A Jesse Tree is a cherished Christmas tradition observed during Advent, designed to narrate the story of salvation history, spanning from Creation to the birth of Jesus. This is accomplished by showcasing symbols that represent Jesus's ancestors. Our talented 7th and 8th graders have each crafted an ornament for every day of Advent, which will be hung on the tree to symbolize various Bible stories or characters, including Adam and Eve, Noah, David, and Mary. This tradition is named after Jesse, the father of King David, and is inspired by the biblical prophecy: "A shoot shall come out from the stump of Jesse" (Isaiah 11:1).
