This vase is from The Santa Rosa workshops that lie in the mountains of central Mexico, above the city of Guanajuato at 8,360 feet. The company name is from the town and the clay used is from the local Sierra de Santa Rosa Mountains. All pieces are hand sculpted on pottery wheels, and hand decorated.Measures 16" tall and 8" wide.
Each piece, with its unique design and attention to detail, reflects the dedication of its creator to preserving and evolving this centuries-old art form. This vase serves as a delightful example of the artistry found in Mexican majolica and the cultural stories embedded in each brushstroke.
