Enjoy an evening of dinner, entertainment, exciting auction items and recognition of our TIC Stars.  We're thrilled to celebrate 47 years of providing vital reading services to blind, low vision, and print impaired communities.


For 47 years, TIC has provided reading services to blind, low vision, and print impaired communities.  With the help of over 200 volunteers and a small and efficient staff, we broadcast over 320 publications weekly, promoting informed and autonomous lives.

Legendary Broadcaster Candy O'Terry & 95.9 WATD FM's Rob Hakala

Candy O'Terry is known as Boston's Beloved Radio Voice, Candy O is a proud member of the Massachusetts Broadcasters Hall of Fame. For over 30 years, she has provided a platform for the stories of nearly 1000 women and is a regular contributor to Pink Chair Storytellers Magazine. A lifelong advocate in the fight against breast cancer, Candy became a survivor herself in 2024. A lifelong singer and recording artist, her songs are heard around the world.


Rob Hakala is a seasoned radio broadcaster and host of "The South Shore's Morning News" on WATD 95.9 FM. With a degree in Communications from Curry College, Rob has been a prominent voice in South Shore radio since 2000. His passion for broadcasting and community engagement has made him a beloved figure in local media.

EAVAN O'NEILL


  
Eavan O'Neill was diagnosed with Stargardt disease five years ago, a rare inherited retinal disease that causes progressive central vision loss and currently has no cure. Through this diagnosis, she has learned the importance of accessibility, advocacy, and community. In early 2024, she founded Brightside, a support community dedicated to bringing together individuals experiencing vision loss of any kind-a space to share stories, be vulnerable, and feel less alone. She is so excited to be a part of the Starry Night Gala to share her journey with you!

We're thrilled to feature live music by Vicky Lynch, a powerhouse vocalist from Boston and the South Shore. A multi-time New England Music Award nominee, Vicky is known for her rich, emotive voice and captivating performances-ranging from intimate acoustic sets to high-energy shows at top New England venues.  With a deep love for music and a gift for connecting with audiences, Vicky's soulful renditions of popular songs (and the occasional original) add a special touch to any event. Don't miss this incredible live performance during our Starry Night Gala!
