The four woodcut prints presented here were part of the "Art Horizon20 Print! Hong Kong" Exhibition held at the Hong Kong Visual Arts Center in 2020. The exhibition was both a celebration of Art Horizon Printmaking Workshop's 20th anniversary, and the showcasing of both Hong Kong's foremost printmaking masters and the new generation of Hong Kong printmakers. 2020 is the year when COVID-19 ravaged the world and when Hong Kong underwent much social and political upheaval. The four woodcuts titled "Juncture," "Storm is Coming," "The Departed," and "Capsizing of the Three Boats" are the artist's visceral response to Hong Kong's state of affairs at the time, and his unbreakable love for the city he once called home.
