LGBTQ+ ally
This blanket is knit with lopi yarns from Iceland. Lopi is very warm! I started knitting this during a polar vortex!!! The blanket is several shades of brown and gray with a few green and ivory accents. Care instructions: hand wash in lukewarm water with a mild soap or special wool wash. Avoid agitation, wringing or twisting. After washing, gently squeeze out water by rolling the blanket in a towel. Reshape the blanket and lay it out flat to dry.

I know trans persons of various ages: teen, 30 year-old and 40 year-old. I will do whatever it takes so that the younger LGBTQ+ persons thrive! I love to knit and the auction is a concrete way to support GSAFE.
Our GSA is led by 8th grade student leaders who are dedicated to both advocacy as well as giving back to the community. These blankets are always their choice for our "groundbreaker" projects during one of our first GSA meetings of the year, where we teach our brand new 6th grade students how important our work is in both supporting each other, but also in supporting our community.

We strongly believe that through service projects we are able to help other people. We are in a district where our GSA is loved and supported by a majority of our community, but we know that's not the case for all students our age. Therefore, we want to support GSAFE to do what they do in reaching those who are still struggling to exist. We love you!!!!
