Live ItemEmbark on a winemaking experience without leaving New York!
Up to 4 people can take part in a unique and fully personalized winemaking experience at City Winery. As an added bonus, our amazing principal, Monica Berry, will join your group at one of tasting or blending sessions. At the end of your journey, you'll take home over 250 bottles of your own first-class, personalized vintage starting at $40 per bottle!
Here's how it works:
- You consult with the team prior to harvest for your desired grape varietal and vineyard. City Winery sources grapes from domestic (California, Oregon, Washington & NY Finger Lakes) as well as foreign vineyards (Chile, Argentina and soon France). You will also choose the barrel in which your wine will age.
- When the grapes arrive at City Winery, you are invited to help sort and crush the grapes.
- During the aging process, which can be 18-24 months depending on the grape and vintage, you can visit your barrel to taste how the wine develops and meet with the winemaker as often as you'd like.
- When aging is complete, you will work with the winemaker to blend your wine with other varietals to customize the flavor profile as you see fit.
- The wine is bottled and labeled right in the winery. You choose from a variety of options from custom cork to capsule, bottle style and label design. Bottles larger than 750ml and non-regular corks will incur additional fees.
