THANK YOU!

PhilaBowl is a unique family-friendly event that showcases beautifully handcrafted bowls created by passionate Clay Studio artists and community members. These bowls, more than 500, are not just functional but also pieces of art that you can take home. Each bowl is a reminder that hope and art can be a part of our everyday lives.

Half the proceeds from PhilaBowl go towards supporting The Clay Studio's scholarship fund, a critical part of our mission. Your support of the events helps to ensure that anyone, regardless of their financial situation, can explore the world of clay. Last year contributions helped us award over $30,000 in scholarships to TCS students of all ages, including our adult classes and clay camp for students in grades K-12!

The other half of the proceeds from PhilaBowl go towards supporting our partner, Lutheran Settlement House. This non-profit, community-based organization, located in Fishtown, is committed to serving Philadelphia's children, adults, and families. Last year, they helped over 4,000 individuals through their domestic abuse hotline, provided shelter to 244 women and children, and served over 11,000 people at the food pantry. We are proud to partner with Lutheran Settlement House and support their mission of helping families in our neighborhood.

Event Logistics

Our third PhilaBowl is happening on Saturday April 5, 2025 from 11:30 to 2:30 pm at The Clay Studio. Please know:

  • The event is rain-or-shine. All attendees will check in with staff either outside the pavilion or in the shop depending on the weather.
  • Pre-registration is the only way to ensure an access ticket and a bowl - at $35 for a Bowl and Food Ticket. Excess tickets may be available the day of the event but these are not guaranteed to be available.
  • All of our delicious generously donated food is samples of light fare from local chefs. There is an ingredient list up at each station for notice of any possible allergy related information.
  • Food-only tickets are available for those who only want to try out the array of local foods, these do not include a bowl.
  • This event is on a first-come, first-serve basis! You will be able to pick the bowl that speaks to you from an open display of over 500. There is also no set menu, you choose which foods to try, and which to go back to for more!
  • If you fall in love with another bowl, or purchase a food-only ticket there is a possibility of buying from the limited supply of additional bowl(s) on the day of - $25 per bowl!
  • Please bring a bag to carry your wrapped bowl(s) home to make this event as sustainable as possible!
  • There are no wash stations and the bowls have not been washed out of the kilns; we do not recommend using them for food until they have been washed.
