Fire Rock Ranch - Morning Bird Walk and Brunch for 8

Join Master Birder Laurie Duke for a 2 hour walk followed by a generous brunch at the house. Tour around the barn, corrals, and riparian creek area of this special property recently set aside in a conservation easement with the Colorado Cattlemen Land Trust.

Some of the expected birds will be swallows, kingbirds, bluebirds, warblers, sparrows, woodpeckers, raptors, finches, and maybe a few surprises. Wear long pants and hiking shoes for walking through tall grass and creek crossings. The total distance will be approximately half a mile. Don't forget your binoculars!

Afterwards a bird walk, you will be treated to a hearty farm brunch under the shade of a large cottonwood where you can continue watching birds at the feeders or in the trees.

He learned his craft from his late mother, Oma Marge, and a few episodes of The Frugal Gourmet! Savor delicious food while enjoying lively conversations about history, culture, and family traditions.

A catering option with a modified Czech menu is also available, featuring Turkey, Chicken Paprikash, and Beef Goulash.

The Gottlieb's and their Willow Pond Farm are known for their Heirloom tomatoes! Tom and Char will let you in on some of their gardening secrets at an exclusive garden party for 2-4 guests.

Tour the gardens around their 1800s farmhouse in Arvada, meet the llamas, sample several varieties of this years' crop, talk birding and gardening, and relax in the great outdoors. Enjoy a lunch featuring good company and delicious tomatoes. Time limited to ripening of tomatoes, usually late August or early September. Valid for 2025 season.
