Bring home artwork from budding artist Esther Sanni '26. Esther writes that some cultural references in her artwork are her Nigerian Heritage, especially her tribe which is the Yoruba tribe. Esther writes: "In this image is a Nigerian girl with a mushroom on her head. She is seen in front of the Nigerian Flag which has some cultural symbols like the talking drum and beaded necklaces. The girl represents me and the mushroom represents the hats which I make and wear almost everyday. I just want the viewers to understand the background of the character on my canvas." Esther is a leader of the CRNY art club that is honing their skills at a local art school.

It's [about] being vulnerable in a strange and unfamiliar environment. I want the viewers to understand my perspective on how it feels to be out of your comfort zone.
