Why support the Sousa Social?
Proceeds from the Sousa Social help underwrite the purchase of educational materials, school-wide cultural arts programs and enrichment for our students. Some of the enrichment programs funded by the HSA this year include: diversity, equity and inclusion programs, STEAM Night, Literacy Night, Art Night, Taekwondo, cultural dance, yoga, multicultural cooking, & field trips, allergy awareness, the Sousa Garden, Field Day, community picnics, Sousa's RULER initiative, the school directory, Sousa's Got Talent Show, staff appreciation events and more! This also includes programs like Helping Hands which provides snacks and water bottles for students in need.
About the Sousa HSA
The Sousa HSA (Home and School Association) is an alliance of parents, educators, and administrators who seek to promote the best educational opportunities for the children and youth in our homes, schools and communities. We are dedicated to enriching Sousa students' educational experiences and to instilling an excitement for learning and a respect for others, our community and the world we share.
Through the use of its dues and fundraising, the HSA enhances the educational facilities and opportunities for the students of Sousa Elementary School through programs/equipment that are not otherwise provided for in the school budgets.
