As a retired firefighter with 30 years of service in Winston-Salem, NC, I have dedicated my life to helping others. Running the Chicago Marathon allows me to combine my passion for running with the joy of giving back and making a difference.

Your donation supports the Chicago Fire Foundation's P.L.A.Y.S. (Participate, Learn, Achieve, Youth, Soccer) Program. P.L.A.Y.S. is committed to enhancing the academic performance and development of key social and emotional learning (SEL) skills of 3rd-5th grade students through a sports-based curriculum across some of the most underserved neighborhoods of Chicago.
