This year, I had the privilege of volunteering at the Chicago Marathon, and it was an experience that left me deeply inspired and motivated. What stood out to me was seeing not only able-bodied runners, but also those with disabilities pushing themselves to the limit. There were the sub 1, sub 2 finishers, but the beauty of it all was the cheers from the crowd for everyone, regardless of their pace. The energy and emotions were incredible, and it reaffirmed the power of community support. After completing my first half marathon this summer, I'm excited to take on the 2025 Chicago Marathon as my next challenge and to support the Chicago Fire Foundation in the process. It's a cause close to my heart, and I can't wait to contribute to this amazing journey.
