Jean Boettinger (1930-2019) loved to paint places that she and her husband, Bill, traveled to. Josephine Bonaparte's childhood home in Martinique in the Carribbean was painted in 1994 from a photo Bill took. This oil on canvas painting with wood frame is donated with love by Jean's daughter, Janis Boettinger.

Jean Boettinger (1930-2019) was a talented artist who rediscovered her love for oil painting after retiring from New Jersey and moving to Arizona. In 1996, Jean captured the adorable exuberance of their black Lab mix puppy, Sam, peering into the kitchen window in "Sam, I am!" in oil on canvas with a wood frame.

This 11x14" acrylic painting on canvas captures the timeless beauty of a rose, its delicate petals revealing an empowering hidden symbol. By blending the softness of nature with the strength of feminine energy, the artwork invites viewers to reflect on the profound choices women make. The rose, often a symbol of love, strength, and rebirth, becomes a canvas for deeper meaning-embracing autonomy and the intimate power that resides within every woman.

Kristi Grussendorf is a renowned watercolor artist, whose work has been included in several national and international publications, and prestigious juried exhibitions - often, winning awards. She is a rostered instructor for the Utah Division of Arts & Museums.

This is an original watercolor painting done in the traditional transparent manner, which means that the whites in the image are the unpainted white of the paper. This highly technical technique is called negative painting. "Morning Bath #2" was painted from a reference photo she took during one of her daily walks in North Logan along the canal.

Kristi Grussendorf has earned signature status in the American Watercolor Society (AWS), the National Watercolor Society (NWS), the Transparent Watercolor Society of America (TWSA), Western Federation of Watercolor Societies (WFWS) and Utah Watercolor Society (UWS). She received her BFA from the University of Utah and is committed to being a lifelong student. She teaches for watercolor groups and societies all over this country and has been fortunate to teach plein air (painting outdoors in the "plain air") in both Spain & France.
